Adam Aluise
CEO
With years of real estate, finance, and lending experience, Adam’s skill set leverages sound financial analysis, loan negotiation, and strong knowledge of the real estate market. Over the years, this expertise has positioned PoplarRED to continue to successfully execute commercial loans through financing terms tailored to achieve the borrower’s goals. He founded PoplarRED to provide borrower’s access to their best financing option plus share qualified and quality borrowers and assets to lenders.
Prior to sourcing debt or sharing an opportunity, Adam completes a detailed analysis. This knowledge was gained as a commercial loan underwriter. Adam’s expertise includes equity and debt sourcing, relationship and project management, risk management, real estate development, credit approval, restructuring, and business support.
Holding a degree in finance and a career in banking and investment, Adam has spent significant time building models specific to the commercial real estate market. These specialized tools evaluate loan optimization, long- and short-term investment opportunities, as well as assessing the local financing market.
Kyle Sjobakken
FINANCIAL ANALYST
Kyle joined Pine and Peak Capital in November 2021, bringing 3+ years of real estate finance experience to his role as a commercial real estate analyst. His focus is on the origination, structuring and sourcing of debt and equity capital for income producing real estate in the United States and includes all aspects of credit, underwriting, loan negotiation and portfolio management.
During his career he has been involved in the origination, structuring and financing of all types of income producing real estate including multifamily, industrial, office and retail.
Prior to joining Pine and Peak Capital, Kyle was as a commercial real estate analyst for Grandbridge Real Estate Capital in their Denver office where he assisted on transactions including commercial and multifamily financing and equity raising. Before his tenure with Grandbridge, Kyle was an intern on the capital projects team for Physician’s Realty Trust, a REIT focused primarily on medical office buildings.
Brian Soeldner
ADVISORY
Brian Soeldner has a strong financial and strategic background that includes Co-Founder, CEO, and Chairman of a bank and partner in a private equity fund. During his 25 years as an investor, lender and C-level executive, he has worked with hundreds of small and middle market businesses.
He is currently the Principal of Confluence Advisory Group (CAG), a firm that provides management consulting services for start-ups and small and middle market businesses.
Prior to founding CAG, he served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Colorado-based Fortis Private Bank. Prior to that, Mr. Soeldner was a partner with the Chicago-based private equity firm Merit Capital Partners. With over $1 billion under management, Merit provides mezzanine and equity capital to middle market businesses to facilitate management buyouts, recapitalizations, acquisitions, shareholder liquidity events, and growth.
Brian began his career with a strong finance and credit foundation as an analyst and lender at LaSalle Bank and Bank of America. Brian received his undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of Iowa and his graduate degree in Finance and Business Strategy from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
